Visit the Quaint Italian Resort of Claviere
Close to the border of France, Claviere is one of Italy's best ski resorts. A quaint village that has retained much of its charm, Claviere was one of the first ski resorts to be established in the Italian Alps. It boasts a large ski area with many runs leading you right back to the door of your hotel. Part of the Vialattea, or Milky Way, this little resort is simply delightful in every aspect.
The resort is made up of some long, winding slopes, perfect for building the beginner skier's confidence; plenty of blue and red runs to help the intermediate skier improve; and also some tough black runs for those looking for a real challenge. You can book lessons for your group in advance to make sure everyone is catered for accordingly. There are some excellent ski schools with English speaking instructors who are there to help improve skills and encourage confidence in every student.
The ski pass in Claviere covers 400 kilometres of slopes, linking the area with some of the neighbouring resorts, such as Sansicario and Sestriere.
Off the slopes the town has plenty of activities for students to get involved in, too. Try out ice skating on the natural ice rink, go tobogganing, or perhaps just spend an afternoon wandering round the shops. Relax in the cafes and make sure to try out some of the many gastronomic treats the town's pastry shops have to offer.
The school ski trip encourages students to push their boundaries and take on new challenges, while also being lots of fun and offering plenty of adventure.
